The Overdenture Placement Process
Dr. Nauss plans your implant locations with 3D CBCT imaging. In a comfortable outpatient procedure, 2 to 4 implants are placed into the jawbone. We can often adapt your current denture as a temporary healing appliance.
Once the implants fuse to the bone, we attach precision snap-on locator attachments and fabricate your custom, high-strength overdenture with realistic gum contouring and lifelike prosthetic teeth.
Daily Care and Maintenance
You snap your denture out at night to clean it with a denture brush and soak it in cleanser. Clean around the implant abutments with a soft toothbrush. Locator nylon caps are easily replaced annually during routine hygiene visits.
